YES WE CAN !!! 

I was fortunate enough to have been invited to last evening's "100 Most Influential Women in Silicon Valley" event at the Fairmont Hotel.  Hosted each year by the San Jose Business Journal, it celebrates our fabulous women leaders, and gives each an opportunity to pass on 10 words of wisdom to the attendees.  That's 1000 words of wisdom in one night - what a treasure trove !!  And that doesn't even count the uber-networking going on.

I saw many women that I know...including Dolores Carr, Santa Clara County D.A., Connie Martinez of 1stAct Silicon Valley, Kristy Rogers of eWomen's Network, Brenna Bolger of PRx, Mahnaz Khazen of Coldwell Banker Commercial Bay, Therese Coutermarsh from FireEye, and my fabulous inviter, honoree Donna Michaels of the Loughlin Michaels Group.

What an incredible 4th of July weekend!

What an interesting valley we live in!  Where else could you go to the 17th annual Tahiti Fete at San Jose State today, July 4, see fireworks at a San Jose Giants game, and then tomorrow on July 5 go to Shoreline to see Stevie Wonder in concert?  And then, if your dog is feeling left out and wants something special too, take him/her to Paws in the Park at Santana Row on Saturday from Noon to 4 pm.  You know it's the best way to spend an afternoon...and this from a confirmed cat-lover...

Whatever you do, be happy that you live in the center of what is still really the "Valley of Heart's Delight"...aren't your relatives secretly envious of our weather, our cutting edge technology, our ability to adapt to change, our growing and evolving green consciousness, our place as one of the most forward-thinking and entrepreneurial places on the planet? 

Home is where the heart is...we are ALL at home in San Jose!!
